My husband and myself had been told for years that our first born son wasn't autistic as he didn't have the, 'social problem' that was heavily associated with autism?!

We knew from an early age that he wasn't, 'just delayed' as we were told, and we were constantly researching autism ourselves.  We didn't 'need' a diagnosis...it was purely to try and find our own ways of coping, and helping him to cope with behaviours and feelings that were alien to us all!

We did eventually receive a diagnosis and during the early years, we were made to feel that autism was a negative diagnosis to have and often felt that we were excusing him for his behaviours.  Now he is soon to be a 15 year old young man and we shout out his attributes to the world.

He amazes us daily with his wit, his wonderful way of seeing the world and we're so proud of the determination and tolerance he demonstrates when faced with his daily struggles...yet we always manage to get out of him the biggest, beaming smile!

We know that he has challenging times ahead of him as he moves forward into adulthood, but we are confident that with the acceptance and awareness of autism increasing due to the ongoing efforts of organisations like The National Autistic Society and other like-minded families like us who strive daily for acceptance, that he will always feel comfortable in his own skin and just be happy to be, 'Morgan'.

To do my 'bit' for raising awareness, I have created some items that incorporate the rainbow colour spectrum and the infinity symbol.

The infinity symbol represents how diverse the autistic spectrum is and that each person's individual experience of autism is so different.  The concept of neurodivergency highlights the fact that the ways in which the brain can function are endless and different to the way that the majority of people expect it to.

I believe that wearing jewellery is not only a powerful way of spreading awareness of a cause, but it also enables you to feel like you're supporting and connecting with autism families.

These products will indeed raise awareness of autism, but let's not forget what they comprise of! The crystals used all have healing benefits that you can choose to hone in on, in line with your own needs when cleansing and setting your intentions.  They include Lava Rock beads which not only has its own properties, but can be used to diffuse essential oils on to so you can benefit from the healing properties of your chosen oil as well as the crystals' own properties!

A 7" bracelet is £19 and the keyring is £12 and 10% of all sales of these products will be donated to the National Autistic Society.

Please note: the pictured Essential Oil vial is NOT included but can be added as an extra for £2.50....take a look on the Essential Oils page to view our range.
